Account book, 1845-1852, 1892.

The first thirty-eight pages of this manuscript contain accounts for the purchase of lumber and expenses incurred in building a bridge for the Buffalo & Cohocton Valley Railroad. Most of the transactions invovle either Steve Hardy or George A. Farnum. The accounts are followed by recipes for food and medicine and instructions for dying cloth and yarn. Accounts for household items and expenses with a list of articles sold in 1892 complete the volume. Objects mentioned include furniture, carpets, dishes, stoves, glassware, boxes, kegs, linens, and shawls.
